Transfer Credits
At Ashford we pride ourselves on taking down the walls that have traditionally kept people from achieving their educational goals. We know the last thing you want to hear is, “I’m sorry, but not all the credits you have earned are going to transfer.” To help assure that they do, at Ashford:
- Up to 90 approved community college transfer credits can apply towards a Bachelor’s degree program.*
- Up to 99 approved credits can be applied toward your Bachelor’s degree. Combine your previous coursework with up to 75 nontraditional credits to make the maximum transfer impact.
- Your state’s approved general education curriculum meets Ashford’s requirements
- Your lower division work may be equivalent to Ashford’s upper division requirements, so you won’t have to repeat courses you have already taken.
- All courses are evaluated for applicability.
- You can add a transfer concentration to select Bachelor’s programs when you apply 12 approved transfer credits from another academic field. Community college credits can apply!
*The transferability of credits is subject to Ashford University transfer credit policies, and requires the submission of official transcripts. The official transcripts will be evaluated to determine the credits that will officially apply toward an Ashford University degree program.
